Golf by the OceanYou can play in the footsteps of legends at the world-famous Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines. Home to the Verizon Heritage Tournament since 1969, this distinguished PGA Tour golf course places a premium on finesse, imagination, and shot-making rather than strength. Put your game to the ultimate test against a collection of par-threes ranking among the world' finest and a par-four 18th hole considered one of the most feared in all of golf - particularly when the wind is blowing off the Calibogue Sound. 800-955-8337

Mid-Island in Palmetto Dunes, is where you can play The Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course. Readers of Golfweek Magazine have ranked it among the best in the Southeast. One of the classic works of the legendary designer, the Jones offers well-trapped greens and generous landing areas - with a lagoon system winding its way through 11 of the 18 holes. Daufuskie Island courses – (just a short boat ride)

The Melrose Course a Jack Nicklaus signature course has been ranked among the "Top 75 in North America" by Golf Digest. It's one of the most celebrated courses in South Carolina - featuring smaller target greens, a mixture of short- and long-par 4's, a diversity of par 3's, and unique par 5's. In addition, the 18th green sits on a small peninsula that seems to jut into the Atlantic, testing the nerves of the best players. 800-648-6778

Bloody Point Course a fantastic course that was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, and named after a notorious 1700s battle between Indians and the British on the island's southernmost tip. It utilizes the Daufuskie's most scenic coastal marshes and dark water lagoons. Also, the bald eagle's nest on the seventh hole and the Osprey's nest on the 15th hole are visited annually by these nationally treasured birds. 800-648-6778
