Windmill Harbour

Situated along the Intracoastal Waterway, immediately on the right as you cross the bridge to Hilton Head Island, Windmill Harbour is a 172-acre private gated community. It is reserved for only 500 residences with distinctive neighborhoods of townhomes and villas overlooking the harbor, and very large estate homes along the tidal marshes of Calibogue Sound. The prevailing architectural style is Charleston-inspired, with gracious spaces and generous porches that can take in the beautiful vista views of the Intracoastal and saltwater marshes.
Home to the South Carolina Yacht Club offering members fine dining, tennis at seven Har-Tru courts, yoga, social events and a swimming complex. In addition to monthly planned cruises, the club hosts regattas and seasonal weekly beer can races. They offer instruction and sailing group events for kids and adults, including participation in inter-club races.
The primary focal point of Windmill Harbour is a 15-acre inland harbour-twice the size of Harbour Town. The dock has 260 slips, 30 to 80 feet long and 20 feet wide. In the South Carolina lowcountry, where the daily tide can range more than nine feet, Windmill's unique technologically advanced lock system offers yachts relative safety from tide, wind and storms.
